Glossary

Action Bar:

Bar that appears at the top of a view when one or more items are selected. It holds buttons to enable all the allowed actions for the selected parts.

Autoplacement:

The process where the software automatically arranges parts on the build platform to make the best use of space and improve printing efficiency.

Classification:

The process of identifying what type of part a file represents (for example, a dental crown or bridge) so it can be matched to the correct printing settings.

Job:

A group of parts that have been arranged together on a build platform to be printed on a specific printer.

Job Promotion:

The process of changing a provisional job into a print job. This can happen automatically when the job is full enough, or manually when the user decides it’s ready.

Provisional Job:

A temporary job that the system is still working on. Parts can be added or removed while the system tries to make the best use of the printer space.

Print Job:

A job that has been confirmed by a user as ready to print. Once a job is accepted, no further changes can be made.

Material:

The printing resin used to produce the parts in a job. Each material has specific properties defined in a settings file (material.ini ) used by the printer.

Navigation Bar:

The vertical menu on the left side of the screen that lets users move between different pages in the application.

Organisation:

The company or group that owns the Funnel account.

Part:

A 3D model of a dental appliance or other printable item.

Template:

A set of printing instructions linked to a specific type of part. Templates ensure each part is printed with the correct settings.

User:

A person who has been invited to use Funnel as part of an organisation. Each user has a role that determines what they can do in the system.
